Faith requires waiting. I keep waiting to wake up and see the face of God.
Psalm 11 reminds us of the culmination of our journey. Though the tone of this psalm is fire and brimstone (literally) it does not end there...The upright will behold His face. It brings to mind the great hymn, On Jordan's Stormy Banks I Stand.
It is much easier for me to focus on the gracious, loving God than it is to remember that His anger is fierce. God hates the ones who hate. God hates?
011 To See Your Face
I am running for my life, I am running to His arms
Still you're telling me to hide in the world and all its charms
As foundations fall apart, all the earth is lost to war
You are shooting in the dark, but my hope is in the Lord
He is watching from above with the final chapter sealed
There is no one who will stand when His justice is revealed
He will love the ones who love as He hates the ones who hate
Still the sacrifice remains and His mercy will be great
There will be fire
There will be rain
There will be grace
The end of days
And justice is
To see your face
I am daring you to trust, I will ask you to believe
I am giving you this chance, know that I will never leave
It will not be easy now as it never was before
But in this life there is so much more
There will be fire
There will be rain
There will be grace
The end of days
And justice is
To see your face
